Gypsy in Her Eyes is a song that was written in the early 1980's
by singer, songwriter and guitarist
Vincent Cusano. By the year 1982, Vincent would be known on
an international level as "Vinnie Vincent", the lead guitarist
for the multiplatinum rock group KISS. Previous to KISS, Vincent
was writing and recording with the band
WARRIOR. The group consisted of Vincent on lead vocals and
guitars, Jimmy Waldo (New England, Alcatrazz) on keyboards, Gary
Shea (New England, Alcatrazz) on bass guitar and Hirsh Gardner
(New England) on drums.
WARRIOR recorded the song Gypsy in Her Eyes as a demo in
1982. The demo was funded by CBS Records in hopes of the band
nabbing a record deal with the label. Sadly, the song was never
officially released. It has been widely circulated on various
bootleg releases since the mid 80's, and in recent years,
YouTube has introduced the unreleased Warrior demo sessions to a
much wider audience.
This version of Gypsy in Her Eyes consists of vocalist Rick Rici
from Brazil, Guitarist Yukihiro Omura from Japan and bass
guitarist Damian Bonadono from the United States.
Virtual Invasion is a musical collaboration of musicians from
various parts of the world paying homage to guitar virtuoso
Vinnie Vincent. The band line up consists of vocalist Rick Rici
from Brazil, guitarist Yukihiro Omura from Japan and bass
guitarist Damian Bonadono from the United States. The idea for
Virtual Invasion was first conceived in 2014 when the members
decided to record a new version of the Warrior/Vinnie Vincent
Invasion song titled "Back on the Streets".
