Gene Simmons first extra KISS musical activity resulted in a failure when he agreed to produce the debut album for the band VIRGIN, who were also managed by Bill Aucoin.

Chuck Billings also played drums on some Gene Simmons demo's at the time.

Prior to Gene's involvement with the band, VIRGIN have released one 7" single "Here Comes My Baby" backed with "Get Out Of My Car" (Warner Bros / Curb, 1978).
